Registration
  • Team size 4-8
  • Every team must have 1 member willing to volunteer to ref matches. When match times are decided, 2 refs will be assigned to the match to ensure both teams are following the rules.
  • To register, post a topic including: Pilot Names, Pilot KDR and WLR, Name a volunteer, and some background on the group.
  • No pilot may be on multiple teams.

Tournament Set Up
  • Each round will have unique game conditions. (see Game Conditions)
  • Each match will continue until one team has won 3 points. Teams will switch sides after each game. 
  • 1st round match up decided upon by KDR, WLR, and team history.
  • Every game victory earns the team 1 point.
  • Every game tie earns both teams .5 points.
  • Following rounds will seed according to previous round scores. (if Team F has 7 points they will be matched with Team S who has 6 points) 
  • Team with the most points at the end of the tournament is declared the winner.
  • Tie breaker: TBD
  • There will be NO HANDICAPS honored by the BW Brawl. If you chose to organize a handicap with your opponent, BW Brawl officials will not enforce it.
  • No Air Strikes or Artillery Strikes. UAVs are allowed.

Game Conditions Rules
  • A game condition will be announced before every round. Both teams must adhere to the set conditions. 
  • Any team caught breaking these rules will be given a warning and an opportunity to restart the match (as long as they inform a ref or the opposing team at the beginning of the match. (within the first 3 minutes). Otherwise, that game will count as a loss for the team.

Game Conditions
  • Friendly Fire: Both teams spawn on Team 1 in separate lances. There will be a 2 minute CEASE FIRE given at match start. No mechs may fire or collide with other mechs during cease fire. All pilots may move anywhere in the map freely for 2 minutes. At 18 minute mark, all pilots may open fire. The objective is to destroy the Enemy lance. Lance with most kills at end of match wins.
  • Shots!: All mechs must have an AC20 equipped. 1 ton of ammo required. All mechs stripped of armor. (IS ONLY)
  • Happy Hour: LRMs only. AMS, TAG, Narc, ECM, allowed.
  • BYOB: All weapons must be ammo based. (No Energy)
  • Show Off: One mech per team must be stripped of all armor. And Naked in person if willing.
  • Naked and Afraid: All mechs must strip themselves of all armor. And Naked in person if willing.
  • Say It To My Face: No PPC, ER PPC, LL, ER LL, Guass, or LRM
  • Beer Goggles: 3rd person only. Gauss Rifle with ammo required
  • Well Rounded: No mech may bring more than one of a weapon


Scheduling and Submitting Results
  • Teams must speak with one another to arrange a match time convenient for both and inform BW Brawl officials of when that time is.
  • Teams are encouraged to stream or record their games and post them online. Beer Warrior Twitch will be available for  use. Just ask.
  • Both teams must save a screenshot of the end game score of each game. The victor must submit their score on the forum.
  • 2 refs must be present to enforce conditions

Reffing Matches
  • 2 refs will be assigned to each match.
  • 1 ref on each team.
  • Suicide at match start. (teams don't have to wait).
  • spectate and enforce game condition.
  • Allow teams to restart if their mech is incorrect (within the first 3 minutes of match).
  • Do not shoot any mech.

Streaming and Recording
  • If you would like to stream your match do it! Promote it everywhere and we will boost it.
  • You may also stream to Beer Warrior twitch if a Beer Warrior Official is not. (just ask RedSail to Host your stream)
  • Posting your recordings is encouraged to help make sure teams are following the rules, plus we love to see it!

Well, i'd like to suggest a crazy ruleset :
Friendly fire ( but without 2 minutes CS at the start ) + Naked & Afraid + Only LRMS should be equipped. Should also forbid lights and possibly meds cause they're... well, too hard to hit with lrms fired without locks.

Hoping to get all of the rules finalized by tomorrow. So far there are a couple conditions that may require the use of specific mechs, but nothing for omnipods yet.

Did something happen to the "No HUD" rule?

"No Hud" cannot be easily enforced by refs. Spectator mode turns HUD on regardless of if the player has it turned off.

Each round will have different tonnage and dropdeck restrictions. Hope to have those all finalized soon.

Can you add a rule about usable mechs outside of game conditions? I'm seeing nothing about "available for c-bills" or not.

If you need 3 wins, that's 3 points....but if you tie 20 games before getting those wins, don;t you pad with extra 10 points more than anyone else?

Can I agree to tie my OPFOR 100 games and win by points?

A tie is worth .5 points. So you can tie 6 times to win 3 points. You have the ability to win 3.5 points with 3 wins and a tie. But with those extra points come a more difficult opponent.

its not different, You can tie 1 game.. win 3 others.

hell you could tie 2 games and win the other 3, making it 4 points.

Maybe only allow a maxium of 3 points?

if you tie 2 games that counts as 1 point. so you can tie 2 games and win 2 and thats 3 points.

But your Rules state that the Match will go on till a Team has WON 3 games... Not 3 points.
